What is wrong with the current healthcare system?

The current healthcare system is well-intentioned but has a flawed reward system for the people collecting money.

Hospitals, brokers, and providers all benefit from increasing the revenues they receive.

Employers are required to pay more for their company’s coverage(s). These higher healthcare costs fall downhill to the employee.

What does this mean?

It means that employee deductibles have to increase to match and over time, the incremental improvements to their plans just isn’t enough. Not to mention, the high deductibles make it difficult for employees to get the care when they actually need it.

In the US, employees with HDHP have seen an increase of ##% from 2010-2020. This is similar to all of the decades before. At this rate, employees will be paying X by 2030.

In the current model, the costs will continue to climb at a staggering rate because they have to.
